Six Word Saturday – 26 April 2014

Take off your shoes, and relax!

JimDoranHammockThis photograph of James Doran was taken about 1949 in Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He’s relaxing on a hammock at his in-law’s farm. It looks like he has discarded his shoes, and also some reading material, and is ready to drift off for an afternoon nap. I can see the grape leaves overhead and the fruit trees nearby. I can imagine the bees buzzing peacefully nearby, helping make the honey that I loved.

Hope it’s a relaxing weekend for all! Happy Saturday!

Six Word Saturday is a blogging prompt suggested by Cate at Show My Face.

I love old photos. The history is visible and comes back to life.
